Thin Prisoner Breaks Free By Squeezing Through Cell Bars

This is the moment a super skinny jailbird breaks free from prison by squeezing between the bars of his cell while the guard is away.

Jorge Mantilla, alias Coco, had been arrested by Bolivian police for burglary after police officers allegedly recognised him in a CCTV video breaking into a house in the Villa Fatima area of the capital city La Paz.

He was taken to a police station but footage shows him in the station, placing one leg between two of the bars of his cell.

The man was arrested again

He then manages to squeeze his body through the bars and walks away from the cell.

Sergio Bustillos, the Director of the Special Crimefighting Force in La Paz, said Mantilla had taken advantage of his police guard not being present to slip between the bars and escape.

He was reportedly then planning to head from La Paz to Peru to try to escape the police but was caught by officers and arrested again two days after his escape.

According to local media, Mantilla is known in the criminal world as the “Ladron de Villa Fatima” (The Thief of Villa Fatima) as he works in that part of the city.

Police chief Bustillos said the man has a criminal record for robbery and had been arrested carrying items to break into homes and stolen items.
