Terrified lion is chased by an angry goat as zoo visitors laugh and cheer.
The footage shows the lion trying to exit from an enclosure, but the goat suddenly charges at it with its head and horns down, causing the scaredy cat to scarper.
The images were filmed at the state-owned Ogba Zoo in Benin city, in the southern Nigerian state of Edo, near the coast.
The footage gained traction on social media with Nigerian netizens commenting on it.
‘mhiz_maris_maris’ said: “Nigeria is so upside down it’s even affecting the animals”.
And ‘arapelfarms’ added: “The story of Nigeria presently”.
While ‘tsg_world’ said: “It’s called boldness of the spirit”.
And ‘ebiratao’ said: “One day bush meat go catch the hunter”.
The Ogba Zoo nature park was founded in 1971 in a forest reserve in the Ogba District, some four kilometres (2.4 miles) from the town centre.
The zoo, one of the country’s top tourist destinations, covers some 750 acres and is home to local and other wild species, such as primates, lions, giant tortoises, rock pythons, and a number of equine and antelope species, according to local media.
