Visitor Pours Goat Milk From Bottle Into Black Bear’s Throat At Zoo That Forbids Feeding Animals

Visitor pouring goat milk from a bottle directly into the throat of a black bear at a zoo that strictly forbids feeding the animals.

Smartphone footage recorded in the city of Dandong, in China’s north-eastern province of Liaoning, showed the man feeding the black bear goat milk on 25th February.

The unidentified individual can first be seen opening the bottle of milk before pouring it straight into the animal’s throat, sparking outrage among social media users after the video emerged online.

Many netizens on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin, criticised the man’s reckless behaviour and condemned it as harmful to both the bear and the visitors’ safety.

Douyin user ‘Did you get a discount at the end?’ said: I’ve seen people feed Coke to bears, and the bears were so happy after drinking it.”

Then user ‘Qingfengsheng’ commented: “Feeding animals should be banned! What if someone brings sulfuric acid?”

And ‘User 8117763578406’ added: “Goat milk is fine for bears, but cow milk is not.”

The video has reached more than 57,000 likes and over 12,000 shares as of 26th February.
