The German daily, the Frankfurter Neue Presse, questioned the song’s lyrics, which include “Some say eat or be eaten”, “Some say live and let live”, “Some of us fall by the wayside”, “And some of us soar to the stars”, “And some of us sail through our troubles”, and “And some have to live with the scars”.

Other netizens reportedly found it bizarre and even “macabre”.

‘SmallMonkeyMan1’ said: “I am absolutely certain that the song was not chosen with bad ulterior motives, but in view of the increasing death toll, a song about the “circle of life” may be a bit inappropriate.”

When contacted by the FNP, the police said: “Each song text offers scope for text interpretations. For us, the focus was on: 1. The scene with the young Simba, which is presented by Rafiki, the Mandrill, the animals, from the Disney film “The Lion King”.

“This is the picture most people call when asked about this song. 2. The stanza: ‘You should never take more than you give’ – transferred to the current situation and that all people have to hold together / act together to contain Corona. ”The campaign should be“ a “thank you” to the people who help Join #FlattenTheCurve and #StayAtHome and stay at home.”

Elton John wrote the Circle of Life for the 1994 Disney film the Lion King.
