Reports said that it was the coach’s idea to include a ‘dad’s routine’ during the final ceremony to recognise the hard work put in by their daughters during the course.
Seven fathers entered the court and surprised their daughters with a choreographed routine.
One father told local media: “We trained very hard. Imagine the kids’ faces when they announced us and we suddenly appeared.”
Club president Vanessa Perez said: “The idea happened over lunch and the goal was to surprise the girls and impress them.”
Another parent said: “We created a social media group and we all decided to take part right away, nobody needed convincing.”
Trainer Joel Hernandez commented: “The dads took training seriously, working with the hula hoops and somersaults and getting everything right.”
He added that the show was prepared in just five days.
Netizen ‘Angeles Iglesias’ said: “Cool! What a beautiful gift to recognise the girls’ hard work. Well done to those proud dads.”
‘Maria Jesus Varona Ibanez’ wrote: “Bravo! Their daughters must be very proud and will never forget this. Congratulations!”
