This stunning Russian model who won the ‘Miss Moscow 2015’ beauty contest has confirmed she has separated from her royal husband who she married only last year after he decided to step down from the throne.
Her fairy tale story involved going from rags to riches after she married the King of Malaysia on November 22, 2018, causing a scandal that caused him to abdicate in January following reports of her past and allegations he was not the father of her son, named Tengku Ismail Leon Peter Tengku Muhammad V Faris Petra.
The move meant her husband Muhammad V was the first ruler step down from the throne when he should have stayed on until 12 December 2021.
When the couple’s son was born in May 2019 she took to Instagram to proclaim him the future King of Malaysia.
But she was dogged by the stories of her past including the claim that she was whipped by her father Andrey Gorbatenko, 56, after being born as the eldest of three children in a strict Cossack family in Taganrog, which is on the Azov Sea. She also once appeared on a reality TV show with 11 young Russians kept together in a luxury resort home.
And now she has confirmed she has moved back home to live with her parents after separating from King in a post on her Instagram page.
She wrote: “I know that everyone really wants to know what happened to us. Previously I was not ready to tell my story. Maybe if I tell you the truth, I will feel better. But I just do not want to offend anyone – and it will hurt.”
Earlier, the former-king’s personal lawyer, Koh Tien Hua, announced the divorce to Russian news portal RIA Novosti. The couple had an Islamic wedding last year following Oksana’s conversion to Islam in April 2018.
But Oksana has until now denied everything and even now after confirming it the reasons for the separation are still unknown.
According to the king’s lawyers, confirming the reasons for the divorce, the former king doubts that he is the father of the son born to the couple in May 2019.
At this time, Muhammad V is reportedly in Malaysia and is reportedly preparing for his next wedding.
