This is the moment two Romanian gypsy clans pummel each other with planks of wood in the middle of the street as kids watch in a spat which cops told CEN was due to “alcohol consumption”.
The incident was filmed by neighbours in Cuza Voda in the town of Tecuci in the eastern Romanian county of Galati and shared on Facebook where it has been viewed 390,000 times.
Footage shows two gypsy clans spilling onto the street, both sides with planks of wood and young children watching.

While a group of residents looks on, screams fill the air as rival members attack each other in the street with some using the planks.
According to reports, two people were injured and required hospital care, which they refused, and five brawlers have been identified by the police.
Costin Gabriela, spokesperson for the Galati County Police, told Central European News (CEN): “Tecuci Municipal Police were notified at around 6pm that there was a conflict between two groups of Roma people in the street.
“A team of eight police officers and gendarmes were sent to the area. When they arrived, the conflict had already finished.
“Further investigations revealed that it was a spontaneous brawl caused by alcohol consumption.
“Two people were injured during the incident and sent to hospital, however they refused hospital care.”
“Investigators have identified eight suspects aged between 18 and 46.
“They will remain under judicial supervision for a period of 60 days. The investigation is ongoing.”
