Acting Legend Alain Delon, 86, Wants To Be Euthanised When The Time Comes And For His Son To Be By His Side Until The End

Famous French acting legend Alain Delon, 86, has said that he wants to be euthanised when the time comes and for his son Anthony to be by his side until the end.

One of the most famous actors in the world and a sex symbol in the 1960s and 1970s, Delon, who has worked with cinema greats such as Jane Fonda, Romy Schneider, Jane Birkin, Burt Lancaster, Stanley Baker, Gerard Depardieu, Catherine Deneuve, and Charles Bronson, in a career spanning over six decades, reportedly wants to be euthanised when the time comes.

After suffering heart problems and strokes in recent years, he told French TV in July 2021 that he plans to act in just one more film.

And now, his son Anthony has told RTL that he has promised his father that he will remain by his side during the last moments of his life, on the day he decides to leave this world.

Anthony Delon, 57, who holds American citizenship as well as being French, reportedly stated that he would categorically refuse to “execute” his father, while reportedly confirming that the movie legend had asked him for help.

Alain Delon, who currently lives in Switzerland, where euthanasia is legal, reportedly came to this decision after suffering two strokes in 2019.

The practice, which is illegal in many countries, would allow the actor to put an end to his life, which he reportedly wants to do when the pain and suffering linked to his health problems become too much to bear.
