A randy Serbian OAP singer who said it is “better to die of COVID-19 than not have good sex for three months” has tested positive for the virus.
Serbian star Andrija Ojdanic, 73, better known by his stage name Era, revealed that one of his six children has been admitted to hospital for 15 days with COVID-19. He also then underwent a test himself, which came back positive.
Ojdanic, who has referred to himself as a ‘womaniser’ in the past, added that he is feeling fine despite the diagnosis.
The elderly singer said: “I am in the Dragisha Mishovic Hospital, it is true that I have the virus but I am feeling all right.
“I don’t have any symptoms, I am not in discomfort and I am not coughing or sneezing. I’ve had a high temperature for the last couple of days, but now I feel fine.
“Doctors did an X-ray on my lungs and everything looks good.”
The OAP vocalist, who has admitted that he likes younger women, added: “I got the virus from my son who is in hospital for 15 days with COVID-19. He must have contracted it during a celebration we attended in a hotel recently.
“What can I say? This is crazy, you all take good care of yourselves.”
Ojdanic said that further tests will be carried out to establish whether he should remain in hospital care of self-isolate at home.
On mid-March, he famously posted a snap of him wearing a face mask with the message: “Better to die of coronavirus (COVID-19) than not have good sex in three months.”
