No Cash Parents Dump Critically-Ill Baby Outside Mosque

This is the moment two young parents abandon their 2-month-old critically-ill baby outside a mosque before fleeing into the dead of night.

The CCTV video was recorded at a mosque in the Adiyaman province, south-central Turkey.

In the clip, we see the unnamed parents cradling the baby before abandoning the tot in front of the mosque and fleeing the scene.

According to local media, the baby was later found by a mosque employee who informed police of the discovery.

Cops managed to track down the unnamed parents who dumped the baby and they told police they had taken the decision as the baby was critically-ill and they were struggling financially to take care of it.

The unnamed baby was taken to the Adiyaman Research and Training hospital in Adiyaman where it was found that the baby was suffering renal failure and septic shock. 

It is currently being treated in the intensive care unit of the hospital. 

A medic at the hospital, Dr. Fatih Dogan, told local media: “The baby was suffering from cyanosis and hypothermia and was taken to the intensive care unit. 

“We are monitoring its condition in the intensive care unit as it suffers from renal failure and septic shock too.

“Our colleagues are doing their best. However, the current state of the baby is not good. His life is still in danger”

He added: ” It might have developed cyanosis and hypothermia due to being left during the night in the mosque yard.” 

The police investigation is still ongoing and it is not known whether if the baby will be given back to the family following treatment.

It is unclear if the parents have been detained.
