This footage shows the frightening ‘mutant’ piglet whose birth deformity left it with a face like an elephant and lured kids and adults from miles around to watch the freak of nature.
The pig was farrowed on 6th June and was amongst a litter of more than 10 young, according to the Chen family who owns the sow.

The piglet with deformed facial features quickly became the talk of the town in Shiyakou Village, which is in county of Zhenxiong in south-western China’s Yunnan Province.

According to the Chens, residents from neighbouring villages trekked several miles to see the little pig, which was described as having an elephant-like appearance due to its malformed snout.
Footage shared by the farmers show adults and young children viewing the piglet, which is able to breathe and move on its own.
However, a Shiyakou village official confirmed that the mutant piglet lived only a few days.
“It’s a deformed piglet and not an elephant, of course. That was a joke,” the unnamed village chief said.
He added: “It died several days later.”
According to reports, a genetic mutation during its developmental stage is likely to have caused the severe birth defect.
