A beautiful Muslim model has slammed Quran-quoting imams who hint at their desires to find new wives during sermons as “horny” and “truly disgusting”.
Stunning Malaysian model and actress Wardina Safiyyah, 39, made the comments on Instagram for her 94,000 followers after a celebrity Islamic preacher left his seven-month pregnant wife for another woman.
She was reportedly referring to Muhammad Abu Sufiyan Mohd Mokhtar Rozaidi, 25, better known as PU Abu, who found fame on the Astro TV reality show ‘Pencetur Ummah’, which aims to find the next budding Islamic teacher.
In the harshly-worded social media tirade, Safiyyah said: “Randy preachers and religious men are truly disgusting. I can’t stand their jokes especially randomly dropping hints about marrying another on social media or in their ceramah (talks).
“It is not classy, Ustaz (Muslim scholars), not taking into account the feelings of their wives or woman.”
The pretty model added: “Try educating men to value and respect women instead.
“Above all, they think they can get away with it because they are pious, because they are men, and use whatever verses or Hadith to justify their horniness.
“Be a man. Respect your wife first and foremost.”
After a brief marriage to pregnant first wife Ain Afini, PU Abu is now reportedly in love with another woman – something which Safiyyah finds “just absurd”.
Following a public outcry, the celebrity cleric released a statement apologising to his pregnant wife and promising to take care of her and the baby when it is born.
