This blackened corpse is reportedly the body of a missing builder murdered after his workmates wrongly accused him of stealing 495 GBP that they later found.
Cops in Kiev in central Ukraine started investigating when the relatives of the young man, identified only by the first name of Yevgeny, reported he was not answering their phone calls and appeared to have vanished.
The turned up at the building site where he worked to question his colleagues, and noticed that the site foreman and another builder appeared to be telling stories that conflicted.
Chief of the Kiev region police Andrey Nebytov said: “On certain specific questions about where the young man might be, the foreman and his accomplice told different stories.”
Realising that there was something suspicious going on, they were both interrogated in more detail, and eventually the foreman admitted that they had killed their colleague after they suspected him of stealing 600 USD (495.72 GBP) .
However after the murder, they had discovered the missing money, and realised the man was innocent.
They said that after he died protesting his innocence, they had taken the body into a forest where they set it on fire, and then buried the blackened remains in a shallow grave.
That was later dug up by cops, and the pair are now in investigative custody facing manslaughter charges.
