Iranian Man Murders Stepmother And Half Brother Claiming That She Cast Spells On Him And Cursed Him

An Iranian man has allegedly confessed to murdering his two-year-old half-brother and his stepmother, who he claimed had cast spells on him and taken his inheritance.

The gruesome murders, which took place in Alborz Province, in northern Iran, have only just been made public after the authorities investigated for two and half months.

The crimes were discovered at approximately 1.30pm on Sunday, 9th January, and the prime suspect has now allegedly confessed to the murders.

The alleged murderer’s father, a baker, discovered the crimes upon going home for lunch. He found his wife and their two-and-a-half-year-old son drenched in blood, noting a strong smell of disinfectant in the house.

The baker’s cries alerted neighbours to the scene, and they then called the police. The authorities arrived on the scene and their investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry to the home.

The victims had had their throats slit with a knife, the investigators determined.

Some of the 38-year-old female victim’s gold bracelets had also been stolen, but not her earrings or her necklaces. This indicated to police that theft had not been the primary motive.

The baker, name not revealed, was initially a suspect and he told the authorities: “I met this woman a few years ago and married her.”

A 27-year-old man allegedly killed his half brother and stepmother claiming that she cast some spells and cursed him in Alborz, Iran.

He added: “I had three sons from my previous marriage, and one of my sons married a young woman after that marriage.

“We had a good life and had no problems with each other. I went to the bakery this morning, but at noon, when I returned for lunch, I was confronted with this horrible scene.”

Police Chief Colonel Mohammad Naderbeigi said: “In this crime, we were faced with a complicated case in which the killer had left no trace of himself at the crime scene and he had poured disinfectant on their bodies so that his fingerprints would not be found on them.”

The case was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department of the police, who determined that the killer knew the victims.

They found that one of the baker’s three sons, unnamed but 27, had scratches on his face, and this made them suspect his involvement in the gruesome killings.

He was arrested and questioned by police, at first denying having played any role in the gruesome incident. Police said that after being detained for two and a half months, he has now allegedly confessed.

The young man reportedly said in his confession: “After marrying this woman, my father often gave his property to her and their two-and-a-half-year-old son. I was upset about this and hated my stepmother. This would not leave me with any inheritance.”

He reportedly added: “Furthermore, some time ago, my wife was pregnant, but our baby did not make it to term, and I found spells in the bathroom of our house that I thought my stepmother had cast in the bathroom to take revenge on me so that my baby would not be born.

“That’s why I decided to take revenge on her.”

The alleged killer also reportedly added: “I had no intention of killing my half-brother, but he woke up and saw me and said ‘uncle, what are you doing?’

“I knew he knew me and I would be arrested very soon. For this reason, I strangled him and then stabbed him in the neck.”

The alleged killer reportedly confessed to having spilled the disinfectant on the bodies to hide his involvement. He also allegedly said that he threw the gold he had allegedly stolen under a bridge and that he then did his best to pretend that he was unaware of the incident.

But this did not fool the police, who arrested him. It was unclear at the time of writing if the suspect had been formally charged with any crimes. No names, other than that of the police chief, were revealed.
