This is the moment a large bear climbs through a herdsman’s home window and rummages around for food before returning with a stocky pal.
The incident was reported on by the Qinghai Yuanshangcao Nature Protection Centre on 1st April.
According to the nature centre, based in the central Chinese province of Qinghai, brown bears regularly visit the herdsman’s home in search of food.
The video shows one bear freely roaming around the property through a front window before returning with a companion.
However, they apparently end up empty-handed and instead enjoy a play fight in front of the house.
After learning about the footage, the authorities warned residents and workers that wild animals appear frequently in the summer, particularly bears in search of food.
The nature centre said the video was filmed in 2019 when they were on their way to film snow leopards at Yellow River.
They learned that several bears had been bothering a local herdsman and ended up filming four or five different bears visiting his home during the course of a month.
The brown bear (Ursus arctos) is found across Eurasia and North America, and the largest populations are in Russia with around 120,000, the United States with 32,500, and Canada with around 25,000.
