Heartwarming Moment Elephant Mum Raises Trunk To Thank Brave Forest Rangers For Rescuing Calf

Elephant mum raising her trunk to thank brave forest rangers who rescued her calf from a canal.

Phone footage captured in the town of Pollachi, located in India’s state of Tamil Nadu state, showed the calf reuniting with its mum after it fell into a canal on 24th February.

Indian media revealed that despite the mother’s efforts the water flow made it impossible for the calf to get out, which is when forest rangers jumped in to help.

The video also shows the grateful mother elephant raising her trunk in appreciation towards forest officials who assisted in rescuing her calf after it fell into a canal.

Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Supriya Sahu said in a statement obtained by AsiaWire: “Our hearts are melting with joy to see the elephant mother raising her trunk to thank our foresters after they rescued and united a very young baby elephant with the mother.

“The baby had slipped and fallen into a canal in Pollachi in Coimbatore District in Tamil Nadu.
