Pampered feline enjoys VIP treatment as it lounges in bed watching ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ on an overhead screen.
Hilarious footage filmed by its unnamed owner shows the cat enjoying a day of leisure at its home in Hunan Province, in southern China.
Perfectly tucked in bed under a comfy duvet and with its tiny head resting on a purple pillow, it watched the Chinese dub of an episode featuring the world’s favourite yellow sponge with interest.
To avoid straining its neck, the owner had even fixed the tablet on the backrest so the spoilt puss could fully enjoy its royal treatment.
Netizens on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok, were gushing over the sight, and some could not help but even show a little envy.
A user titled ‘desk lamp’ commented: “It’s so cute.”
User ‘Xiaoji Yang Wei’ wrote: “It’s actually watching.”
And ‘Cute gray eyes’ said: “It looks more relaxed than humans.”
The clip has gathered more than 114,000 likes, over 10,000 comments and about 160,000 shares after being posted on 29th February.
