Daredevil Eats Crisps And Watches TV On Flying Sofa

This is the moment daredevil influencer Hasan Kaval paraglides high above a picturesque Turkish resort while sitting unfastened on a red sofa, watching TV and eating crisps.

The 29-year-old Turkish influencer posted the video on Instagram, where it has been viewed 175,000 times, and YouTube where it went viral with 1 million views.

Kaval referred to himself as the “flying couch potato”.

He accompanied the clip with the message: “I realised the project, which I thought of two years ago, today.

“I would like to express my endless thanks to my flyferhat1973 brother who supported me from the beginning to the end of the project with equipment and tools.”

In the video, the paraglider is seen flying high above the city of Fethiye on Turkey’s south-western Turquoise Coast.

While apparently sitting unfastened on a red sofa, watching TV and eating crisps, the bearded influencer takes in the stunning views and casually sips on a can of Coke.

At the end of the clip, the Turkish daredevil is seen pulling levers while coming in to land on a public square.

He stands up, gives the camera a smile and continues eating crisps.

Kaval told Newsflash: “I have many crazy ideas spinning around my head. Paragliding shows the world beyond the normal.

“This was the first flight with a sofa. I didn’t do a practice run. I use logic and calculate everything in advance.

“That was a real sofa and the battery-powered TV was quite heavy.

“I wanted to reflect the comforts of home while shaking things up. I ate crisps in the air and drank Coke.

“I did it alone, it was very enjoyable, being in a ‘living room’ high above the world. The most valuable living room there is.”

Kaval told Newsflash: “By trade, I am a pita kebab master. I started when I was 10 and I remained a kebab master until I went into the army.

“However, I decided that life was not for me. I was curious about aviation and was pulled towards paragliding. I had just started practising before going in the army.

“I taught myself how to paraglide and was fully licensed within five years. I passed all the tests the first time round.”

The influencer told Newsflash: “I’ not married and I don’t have children.

“In 2015, I took my equipment to Iran. I played backgammon in the air and smoked from a hookah.”

The free spirit added: “I spend summers in Fethiye and winters in Denizli. I love horses and I’ve lived in a trailer for the last three years.”
