This is the moment an adorable family of wild boars are sent scampering away by police after the naughty creatures decided to go walkabout in a town centre next to their forest abode.
The incident took place in the municipality of Torrelodones near the central Spanish capital Madrid after stunned residents called the police to say that a sounder of boars was gathered on the church square.
In the video footage, the boar sow is seen with several shoats as a police patrol car arrives, sounding the horn.
The sounder scurries off with the mother leading her younglings along the pavement.
Meanwhile, a policewoman is seen walking in front of the patrol vehicle while banging a metal container to scare off the wild boars.
Three young boars are then seen sprinting past the police to join the sounder which is last seen walking along the pavement in single file.
According to local media, the town is situated close to natural areas with a high wild boar population.
Netizen ‘Hithgil’ commented: “The fact that they are there is probably something to do with us. We should not take drastic action without thinking first, we should consider preventative measures.”
‘Javier55551’ said: “It is clear that Torrelodones needs to manage wild animals better. Wild boars especially like vegetation, if they are allowed to eat grass in towns there is a risk of spreading disease, being run over or attacking people.”
