This is the moment a curious black cat checks out a huge stag after coming across it on the street.
The unusual encounter was filmed in the Italian town of Villetta Barrea in the province of L’Aquila in the Italian region of Abruzzo.
In the video, the cat is seen jumping from a fence onto the snow-covered street and checking out the stag, which boasts a fearsome set of antlers.
The peculiar pair seems to ‘greet’ each other for a moment before the stag advances and the feline runs away.
Villetta Barrea, nicknamed ‘deer town’, is a popular tourist destination with only 611 inhabitants.
Due to its clean air and unspoiled natural surroundings, the town often sees local wildlife wandering through the streets like this stag.
Facebook user ‘Mimmo Nuvoletta’ commented: “It is the smallest of the felines, but it does not realise it or does not accept it. Curious certainly, but without a hint of fear for what it sees as a giant armed with antlers.”
