Chimpanzee Mirrors Two Zoo Visitors’ Actions

Chimpanzee mimicking two zoo visitors’ movements on the other side of the glass of its enclosure.

In a video recorded at the Changchun Zoological and Botanical Park in the north-eastern Chinese province of Jilin, the ape can be seen imitating the actions of two young men by jumping inside its cage on January 27th.

Another video depicted the two men throwing punches in front of the glass enclosure of the Chimpanzee Hall, with the animal once more mirroring their actions.

The scene, which was recorded by other amused spectators, quickly gained fame after it was shared on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin, later that day.

Stunned social media users were unable to hold back from commenting and shared their thoughts in the comment section.

Douyin user ‘Back to those days’ commented: “This zoo is so cruel that it separated three brothers so that they wouldn’t recognise each other.”

Then user ‘Heaven tastes earthly wine. Wang Lingjing. Yanggu Laochen Winemaking’ commented: “These two seem they are here to visit their relatives.”

And ‘Yc’ added: “This made me laugh so hard.”
