Young woman shrieks after she attempted to film a tiger in a cage when the animal decided to spray her and her male friend with urine.
The unnamed zoogoer captured the footage at a zoo in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China, and later uploaded it to Douyin, China’s version of TikTok on 5th May.
It begins by showing the animal in an outdoor enclosure of the zoo, pacing within the fence as it slowly starts to approach the pair.
The tiger then approaches the fence where the girl and her friend are standing.
Its majestic display wows them, however, the sight soon turns into a nightmare as the animal suddenly turns and decides to unleash a spray of urine on the woman, causing her to run away with a scream.
According to local media, a staff member from the local zoo later commented on the occurrence, stating that the tiger most likely sprayed urine to mark its territory.
It originally intended to spray on the cage, however, due to it being hollowed out, the animal managed to spray the female visitor nearby.
They also revealed that this type of behaviour is not commonly demonstrated by tigers.
