A Malaysian baker has gone viral with these “creepy” birthday cakes featuring realistic cockroaches and lizards crawling around.
The cake maker, known as ‘The Slice Ipoh Homebaker’ on social media, is based in the city of Ipoh in the Malaysian state of Perak.
The baker offers clients “specially-designed cakes made with only premium ingredients”.
Their creations include sweet treats covered in realistic-looking cockroaches and lizards for birthday celebrations.
In a widely shared Facebook post, images of his cockroach cake were accompanied with the message: “Loving someone is to scare them with their own birthday cake on their special day.
“Ps. Cockroaches used are fully edible…”
The photos show four cockroaches crawling over the cake with one apparently burrowing its way out of the top.
Another cake featuring lizards crawling around the top and sides included the message: “Creepy little lizards for your birthday!”
The images show a large lizard sitting on top of the cake as two younglings make their way up the side.
A message on the base of the cake reads: “Happy birthday to Boon Boon.”
