A five-foot-tall poodle called Bredy has become a huge Instagram star with fans wowed by his amazing looks.
Bredy, a standard poodle, has clocked up more than 70,000 followers on the social media site since owner Giseli Campos adopted him.
The pedigree pooch, nicknamed ‘Giant’ by his family, stands 1.5 metres (five feet) tall when he is up on his hind legs and weighs in at 30 kilogrammes (66 lbs).
Giseli told local media: “When we adopted Bredy, we already knew he would be big, but it seems he grew a little more than expected.”
Part of Bredy’s appeal seems to be that his coat has never been clipped into a strict pom-pom style.
Instead, Giseli lets his coat grow naturally turning him into a giant teddy bear lookalike.
One cute clip shows him being carried down a shopping centre escalator.
And he often poses with his tiny toy poodle housemate Guci at the family home in Chapeco, Santa Catarina State, Brazil.
Giseli said: “He and his brother are very close, they can’t stay away from each other.
“Guci, despite his small size, is the one who protects Bredy and puts order in the house.”
Bredy, says Giseli, is sociable and calm but laps up all the attention he gets from fans.
She explained: “He’s a sensation, he attracts attention wherever we go.
“People always want to take photos, pet him, and as he’s super docile, he makes it okay.
“That’s just how big Bredy is, he’s a sweetheart, a giant teddy bear.”
Bredy shares his Instagram account with Guci and they manage to draw attention to important causes because of their fame.
Giseli said: “The most important thing of all is being able to use his profile, due to his high audience, to help many NGOs and bring joy to many people, both in Brazil and in other countries.”
And Giseli expressed her love for Bredy and Guci, adding: “We receive a lot of affection. It’s very cool and rewarding.
“We can’t see ourselves without them anymore, they are part of the family, they are our children.”
