A History student has been caught with a near six-foot-long ‘cheat sheet’ while sitting a university exam – and her professor was so impressed by her efforts that he let her continue.
The incident took place at the Taras Shevchenko National University in the northern Ukrainian capital Kiev during a History exam – which the student successfully passed.
A photo of the cheat sheet was posted on social media by Yevgeny Magda, a professor of political science who was monitoring the exam at the time.
Professor Magda told Central European News (CEN): “These are a girl’s notes. She passed the exam. Usually with a cheat sheet, I would kick the student out. But in this case I did not because I appreciated the effort.”
According to the professor, he seized a 180-centimetre (5.9-foot) cheat sheet from an unnamed female student who was studying European and American History, 1861 to 1918.
The student reportedly prepared the lengthy notes and brought them to the exam for reference.
At some point during the exam, the professor spotted the cumbersome compilation and took it from the student.
The professor wrote on social media: “In the photo, these handwritten notes were taken during the exam for ‘European and American history, 1861 to 1918’, at the Faculty of History at the Taras Shevchenko National University. Length, 180 centimetres.”
Luckily for the female student, she was allowed to continue the exam and passed.
