Luxury Lambo Owner Sells Watermelons From Boot For 50p

Times must be hard for this Lamborghini owner in Turkey who parked his purple supercar by the side of the road to sell watermelons from the boot for GBP 0.51 per kilo.

The unusual street sale took place on Piyalepasa Boulevard in the district of Beyoglu on the European side of Istanbul in north-eastern Turkey.

The unnamed man rocked up in a luxury Lamborghini and sold watermelons from the boot with cardboard signs advertising 5 TRY (0.51 GBP) per kilo.

The incident drew large crowds to the man’s supercar who formed an orderly queue and took advantage of the bargain watermelons on offer.

But there were almost as many people on hand to film the Lamborghini owner. Eyewitnesses said the mysterious fruit seller appeared to be a local resident.

After local reporters showed up at the scene, the Lamborghini owner reportedly grew uncomfortable with the unwanted media attention and sped away in his supercar, leaving the unsold watermelons by the side of the road.

It is still unclear who the person was and why he decided to sell cheap watermelons from the boot of his Lamborghini.
