Underwater Monkeys Impress Swimming Pool Owner

This is the hilarious moment a troop of monkeys escape a heat wave in South Africa where it is currently summer to take a dip in a local man’s swimming pool.

The images of the troop of monkeys was shot through the window by the homeowner in the suburb of La Lucia, which is located in the resort town of Umhlanga, in the Northern part of the city of Durban in Eastern South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal Province.

The video shot by Peter Malley, 60, and shared by his sister Carol Malley who said the temperatures reached around 40 degrees centigrade.

Many people expressed surprise not only at the monkeys swimming, but at the fact that some of them appear to be able to swim underwater.

They also praised the homeowner for filming the monkeys rather than trying to chase them away and allowing them to enjoy the cool of the water.

Others also said that they had seen similar experiences with monkeys swimming their own pools and also apparently managing to swim underwater in the same way as this troop.
