This is the moment a cute lynx plays with a dead snake like a toy as its pals watch on.
The startling moment was recorded at a safari park in south-eastern Russia’s Primorsky Krai region.
In the video, the young Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) can be seen playing with the snake, lifting it in its mouth and throwing it around in its paws.
Two other lynx can be seen watching on as the youngster rolls around on the ground with the snake in its paws.
The lynx can then be seen playing with the seemingly dead snake, throwing it from side to side before eventually walking away with it in its mouth.
Netizens loved the clip, such as ‘Igor Ivanov’ who said: “This lynx seems to be a professional snake-catcher. It is so skilled and has no fear whatsoever.”
Another one ‘Alisa’ added: “A wild animal will stay a wild animal even while living in a cage.”
While ‘Olga Stankevic’ commented: “What a fast lynx. Look how speedy and skilled it is. And this even despite being fed by the park employees.”
The four living species of the genus Lynx are the Canada lynx, Iberian lynx, Eurasian lynx, and the bobcat. The Lynx in the video is one of the park’s Eurasian animals (Lynx Lynx).
