Worried Mama Waits As Cops Free Trapped Cub From Fishing Nets

Cops rescuing a bear cub tangled in a fishing net and successfully reuniting it with its mother.

The clip, captured on a beach on the Bering Sea, near the village of Ossora, Kamchatka Krai, Russia, showed police officers driving towards the poor animal after hearing its loud cries for help on 9th July.

Caught in fishing nets and covered in mud, the cub struggled desperately to break free but was unable to do so on its own. Its worried mum watched from a distance but could do nothing to help.

Upon arriving, the officers decided to take matters into their own hands and used a pair of long-reach wire cutters to release the cub from the nets.

Finally free, the little one can then be seen running towards its mum before the two disappear among the trees, as the officers cheerfully clap to celebrate the successful rescue operation.

Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia spokesperson Irina Volk said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “In the Kamchatka region, police officers rescued a bear cub entangled in fishing nets.

“The police officers arrived at the scene on a service snowmobile. They approached the bear cub and freed it.

“After successfully completing the rescue operation, the cub ran to its mother, and they departed into the forest together.”
