This is the adorable moment two roe deer appear to marvel at their own reflection in a shop window after entering a deserted Italian city during COVID-19 lockdown.
The cute scene was filmed in the city of Casale Monferrato in the northern Italian region of Piedmont in the early hours of the morning, and the footage was later shared on Facebook were it has been viewed nearly 200,000 times.
In the footage, the two roe deer are seen marvelling at their own reflection in a shop window with the cameraperson standing close to the animals.
After a while, they walk along the pavement and one of them slips on the smooth surface before regaining its balance on the cobbled street.
The local newspaper ‘La Stampa’ said the deer continued walking towards the city centre after the video finished.
It is unclear what happened to them after that.
Firefighters reportedly saved another roe deer that entered the city several days ago and became stuck in the Lanza Canal located just off Valentino Street.
According to the latest figures from the Johns Hopkins University, Italy has registered 181,228 cases of COVID-19 and 24,114 related deaths.
