Unused Cars From 1990s Found In Abandoned Dealership

The new owners of an abandoned dealership have discovered a treasure trove of unregistered Fiat, Peugeot and Alfa Romeo cars from the 1990s gathering dust inside.

The discovery was made in the port city of Avellaneda in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires when the new owner of an abandoned warehouse found the fleet of cars inside and wanted them removed.

The warehouse, believed to have been an abandoned Sevel Ganza car dealership, has been closed since the 1990s after the owner and his son died in violent circumstances, according to local media.

Based on the models of the vehicles inside, it is believed the dealership closed sometime in 1993.

The new owner wanted the near 30-year-old vehicles removed from the building and they reportedly contacted the company Kaskote Calcos, a local body shop and small dealership, to take them away via Instagram.

The owner of Kaskote Calcos shared photos on his Instagram account.

They said: “We were fortunate to be contacted and offered this fleet of 0km vehicles they had left, which interested us and generated a lot of intrigue.”

They added that the new owner just wanted them out of the building as he has a new business in mind.

According to reports, most of the vehicles were Fiats, including a Tipo, Ducato, Uno and a Tempra.

An Alfa Romeo 33 station wagon and a Peugeot 405 were also among the dusty fleet of cars.

Most of the vehicles were stored indoors so they had not been damaged by sunlight or humidity.

Reports said that some of them even started on the first try.

Kaskote Calcos has not yet revealed what they plan to do with the old cars.

The vehicles were unregistered and are mostly models that were mass-produced.
