Tiny piglet sleeps tucked in between a tiger’s legs as the unlikely duo cosy up for an afternoon nap.
Visitors at the zoo in Yuncheng, in China’s north-western Shanxi Province, could hardly believe their eyes at the sight of the wild beast befriending the little farm animal like something out of Winnie the Pooh.
The rare scene, captured on phone video by Ms Zhang, shows the piglet lying on the tiger’s belly between its hind legs undisturbed as the feline sleeps on its back.
It is unclear how the baby pig wound up in the tiger’s den in the first place.
Thrilled Ms Zhang later told local media: “The pig and the tiger are very harmonious, it feels very magical and very cute.”
And netizens on Douyin, China’s TikTok, could not help but gush over the rare sight in the video shared on 12th March, although some wondered how the tiger did not feel tempted to eat its pal.

A user called ‘Lulu acridine’ said: “Sometimes I also fall asleep with potato chips in my hand.”
While netizen ‘Sisters (with babies)’ added: “It thinks of it as a tiger cub, right?”
And ‘Yu Ji’ joked: “Even tigers and pigs can be together, but my crush can’t be with me.”
