Thunderbolt Leaves Harry Potter Lightning Scar On Baby

A 17-month-old baby hit by a thunderbolt during a massive storm was left with a Harry Potter-style lightning-shaped scar on her body.

The baby, not named by media in Upanema, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte, was hit by the lightning strike as she relaxed beside her dad in a hammock on 20th December.

A photograph of the infant in hospital shows her with a vivid red mark all down her right side shaped like a lightning bolt, just like the one on Harry Potter’s forehead.

The baby, her uncle and his five-year-old son, who lived next door and were hit by a twin bolt, were rushed to the Tarcisio Maia Regional Hospital, in Mossoro.

Amazingly all three survived the two strikes and are understood to be receiving medical treatment.

The baby’s dad, who has not been named, said: “I was lying in the hammock and she was next to me, that’s when I saw the flash. Then I saw my daughter unconscious.”

The three are said to be out of danger and are in stable condition, according to local media.

In the books, the scar on Harry Potter’s forehead in the shape of a lightning bolt was the result of Lord Voldemort trying to kill him but the Avada Kedavra curse backfired on him instead.
