This abandoned dog is fighting for its life after being found emaciated with worms inside its ears.
The mastiff named Ragnar was found by an unnamed local resident in the city of Elche, in the southeastern Spanish province of Alicante, Valencia region outside the offices of a cleaning company.
The pooch weighed just 18 kilogrammes (40 lbs) when it should normally be around 60 kilogrammes (132 lbs).

The mastiff was reportedly starving and had an abscess in its ear which worms were living.
The dog is now being cared for by the animal protection organisation Huellas Salvadas (Saved Fingerprints) and is currently in a veterinary clinic in a serious condition.
The organisation is asking for donations to be able to pay for the dog’s treatment and have reportedly collected 1,000 EUR (848 GBP) so far.

The dog is said to be recovering slowly but remains in a very serious condition.
The organisation are considering reporting the case to the authorities to try to find the dog’s owner.
Maria Teresa Agullo, a member of the organisation said to local media that it is suspected that the dog had been locked up with no food or water for a long time and that when its owners got fed up of him, he was left in a bin.
