Registry Office Marries Couple Using Cherry Picker

This is the moment a Russian registry officer worker uses a cherry picker to marry a couple on their balcony during coronavirus lockdown.

The bizarre incident took place in the city of Krasnodar in the western Russian region of the same name when an unnamed couple decided to press ahead with getting married during the country’s coronavirus lockdown.

In the video, the couple can be seen in their wedding outfits and face masks on their second-floor balcony as a registry officer worker stands in front of them on the platform of a cherry picker.

The platform is suspended just in front of the couple and worker in a face mask can be seen carrying out the service with the witnesses on the balcony looking on.

The ceremony reportedly took place yesterday (Monday), the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced an easing of the country’s restrictions starting today.

Putin said the “non-working period” in Russia has ended, with businesses returning to work.
