This is the moment a quad biker slams straight into a gate at a Russian military checkpoint sending a soldier standing next to it flying into the air.
The incident reportedly occurred at the military checkpoint at the entrance to the virological centre of the Research Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Defence in Sergiev Posad a city in the Moscow Oblast region of western Russia and was recorded by a CCTV camera.

In the video, two soldiers who have not been named in reports can be seen standing at the metal gate when a quad bike comes driving towards them.
The driver appears to make no effort to slow down as he approaches the gate and instead rams straight into it.
One of the soldiers, who had been leaning on the gate, is sent flying to the ground as the gate flies open. Reports state a soldier was injured in the incident and taken to the Main Military Clinical Hospital named after Russian surgeon Nikolay Burdenko.
Local media report the driver of the quad bike fled the scene and it is unclear if he has been arrested. It is unclear if the incident was an accident or an attack on the soldiers.
