Panda Cub Jumps Into Keeper’s Arms For A Warm Embrace

Panda cub jumps into his female keeper’s arms, apparently needing a hug from his favourite human.

The male bear, Yu Ke, has reportedly grown very attached to his feeder in Chongqing Zoo, in south-western China.

She often spoils him, and he has seemingly grown to consider her as his mum, as he often likes to be held in her arms.

Video footage shows Yu Ke standing on a raised part of land in his enclosure, readying to jump into his keeper’s arms, who is seen patiently waiting to catch him.

The two share a brief hug, with the clingy panda wrapping his paws around her neck before she has to put the heavy bear down.

Dozens of visitors are seen standing behind a safety fence, waiting to snap a pic of the adorable moment.

Zoo staff told how Yu Ke’s keeper, who was not named, will often indulge him when he wants to hug despite his weight making it difficult to lift him.

He has even learned to climb to high places to pounce on her, as if he knows she will catch him every time.

He also has a twin sister named Yu Ai. Both bear cubs live together in the Chongqing Zoo and have been brought up by the same keeper, but his sister was said to be a lot more independent and does not cling to the worker as much.
