This is the moment a plucky wolverine fights two wolves in the icy Russian tundra.
The incident was filmed in the northern Russian tundra and the footage has been viewed 200,000 times on YouTube.
In the video, two wolves are seen on top of an icy slop before one of them moves away and a wolverine comes running up to the wolf lying on the ground.
The wolverine starts to circle the lying wolf before it springs to its feet and the pair starts fighting.

The other wolf runs over to help its companion and they both attack the wolverine which stands its ground.
After a standoff, the wolverine walks away in one direction as the pair of wolves remains on the icy slope after apparently claiming the territory.
Wolves are considered one of the main predators for wolverines and they constantly claim their territory.
However, despite being small, wolverines have powerful jaws, sharp claws and a thick hide which helps them to protect themselves from predators such as wolves and bears.
According to reports, grey wolves have killed a large number of wolverines in both North America and Eurasia.
