This is the moment a boat full of migrants in the Mediterranean sea is rescued in an operation that saved almost 100 lives.
The humanitarian boat Ocean Vikings is operated by the organisation Medicos sin Fronteras (Medecins Sans Frontieres; Doctors Without Borders; MSF).
In the footage, 92 refugees can be seen crammed aboard a boat which reportedly set sail from Libya as they are rescued from their packed craft by the volunteers.
The footage shows just one of the rescue operations which saved 274 migrants from the sea in recent days.
MSF and SOS Mediterranee rescued the migrants in three different operations between Tuesday and Wednesday.
In the first rescue, 84 people were travelling on board of a wooden boat that was “dangerously” full of people.
Hours later, in a second operation, 98 people were rescued as sailing conditions got worse.

On Wednesday, the organisations reported the third operation, where 92 people “in challenging conditions” were rescued.
The migrants were found next to a petrol platform and were “extremely weak and in a state of distress.”
Meanwhile, the German NGO Sea Watch also reported the rescue of 121 migrants who were found in a boat around 30 miles away from Libya.
