Malaysian Couple Start Crying When Sentenced To Hang For Beating Son To Death With Cane

A couple in Malaysia looked stunned, and then burst into tears when they were sentenced to death for caning their eight-year-old son to death.

Aaron Teoh Eng Wan, 34, and his wife En Sit Mooi, 36, killed Adrian Teoh Wai Kit, 9, in the city of Subang Jaya in the Malaysian state of Selangor sometime between 2pm and 3.30pm on 26th May 2017.

The couple, who were sentenced at the High Court in the city of Shah Alam in the Malaysian state of Selangor on 21st May, will be hanged for killing their son, 8.

They were also charged with repeatedly abusing their son with two canes at the same place and time, and as a result were sentenced to eight years in prison for this offence.

They were arrested on the day of the murder.

An autopsy showed that the parents had repeatedly beaten the young boy, confirming that old injuries, rib fractures, and new wounds had caused his death.

In court, the pathologist said the youngster’s death was caused by severe muscle and subcutaneous haemorrhaging due to numerous traumas from a blunt source.

Tests also showed that the victim and the father’s DNA were present on the canes.

Judge Datuk Noorin Badaruddin said: “There was overwhelming evidence that the couple had committed murder and the prosecution has brought forward a case that is beyond a reasonable doubt.”
