This is the moment a hungry cat enjoys a feast after successfully sneaking into a supermarket and climbing into the meat counter.
The cat was recorded munching on various cured meats by an amused shopper in a Carrefour supermarket in the Beylikduzu district of Istanbul, Turkey, earlier this month (November), according to local news site Haberler.
The video was uploaded to social media, where netizens left several comments including some telling the cat to enjoy its meal.
Others pointed out that the supermarket may need to check its hygiene regulations, as not a single member of staff apparently attempted to remove the cat from the fridge, and they added that the feline should not have been able to get into the fridge in the first place.
Netizen ‘Avarar’ asked for the exact address of the store to be published so that people could actively avoid shopping there, as the staff are “playing with people’s health”.
Local media have not said whether the store has made a statement about the incident.
