Horrifying Attack One Five-Year-Old By Wild Dog

A wild dog tossed a five-year-old girl around like a doll in a terrifying attack in the lobby of her apartment building.

Little Elvan Bayar had been playing with friends when she fell after the stray began to chase them.

Shocking CCTV footage of the attack shows Elvan being dragged around the hall and tossed in the air by the powerful dog.

Then it pounced on her torso and began snapping at her chest and throat as the helpeless youngster tried to escape.

Elvan was only saved when her big sister emerged and drove the beast out of the apartment block in Cizre in the south-eastern Turkish province of Sirnak.

Elvin Bayer, 5, attacked by dog, with Zeki Bayer, the father, in Kurtulus, Turkey, in April, 2022.

According to local reports, the stray dog entered the building and chased a group of playing children.

The young victim was attacked after she slipped while running towards her home.

Elvan was bitten in four places and dragged down the hallway by the animal until her sister heard the commotion and rescued the young girl.

She was taken to hospital and later discharged.

Meanwhile, local authorities launched an investigation into the incident.

The young victim said: “While I was playing with my friends in the building, a dog entered and chased us.

“When I was running from the dog, I slipped and fell and the dog bit me.

“I tried to escape from the dog but couldn’t. Then I got away with the help of my sister.”

The girl’s mother Zeki Bayar said she was at work at the time of the incident and was told over the phone.

She added: “We want the owner of this dog to be found. We want the person who fed it and released it onto the street to be brought to justice.

“My daughter was bitten in four places on her back and both legs. After the incident, the dog was taken to the Cizre Municipality Animal Shelter by the local authorities.

“I want to know whether the dog has rabies or not, I hope the dog is not rabid. After the incident, I went to the police station to file a report.

“We want the authorities to take the necessary measures to prevent this from ever happening again.”

The investigation is ongoing.
