A glamorous animal activist singer who boasts about helping animal shelters has sparked outrage after posting a photo of herself wearing a fur coat.
Olga Orlova, 41, currently presents Russia’s most popular reality show ‘Dom 2’ (‘House 2’) and has over 1.2 million followers on Instagram.
She recently posted a picture of her wearing a fur coat that led to netizens accusing her of hypocrisy as Orlova is known for helping animal shelters.
Netizen ‘Fridazet’ said: “I had a lot of respect for you, but real fur means the murder of the animals you pretend to help.”
‘Yaletayu2017’ added: “You are no better than any other dog killer.”
However, ‘MonCat88’ commented: “I am sick and tired of animal activists! Feel free to stop eating meat or wearing leather, but fake fur and other goods also affect nature and animals still die.”
The beautiful singer did not shy away from her online haters and responded: “I do not hide the fact that I wear both leather and fur clothes and I eat fish and meat, but at the same time I do help stray animals.
“Anyone who points at others for ‘not doing things the way they would’ do not do any good. So let’s take care of our own actions instead of knocking other people’s lives.”
Last year, the 41-year-old was accused of undergoing plastic surgery to maintain her stunning looks, but she responded by saying: “I developed a thick skin towards people that dig into my life and appearance a long time ago.
“It is the same for haters who feel obliged to write something negative under every one of my posts.”
