A funeral home has created an online stir with a bizarre ‘10 Year Challenge’ post that features a young healthy man in 2009 alongside a photo of his coffin a decade later.
The advert was posted to Facebook by the company ‘Funeraria Las Flores’ based in the south-western capital of El Salvador, San Salvador.
The advert received over 22,000 ‘reactions’ and was shared by 40,000 people.
The ‘10 Year Challenge’ image shows a young man in 2009 alongside a picture of a coffin in 2019.
Alongside the picture was the caption: “Nobody knows what will happen in 10 years.
“We thank our friend Javier de Miguel for kindly letting us use his image for our campaign.”
Netizen ‘Claudio Hall’ wrote: “Poor guy, they are already trying to kill him off!”
‘Camilo Alexander Fonseca’ commented: “Whoever thought of this marketing campaign, please give them a pay rise. If possible, send them to study abroad as this level of genius deserves to be at Harvard.”
‘Graciela Castillo’ added: “This ad made me want to go out and buy a coffin!”
The 10 year challenge is an online trend that started in January 2019 in which people compare their former selves from a decade ago to how they look today.”
