French Woman Finds Italy Bottle With Moving Hope Message

This young French woman is trying to find the author of a heartwarming message of hope in a bottle that she found on the beach after it was apparently thrown into the sea in Italy.

The message in the bottle written in Italian says “Life is beautiful, if you know how to appreciate it” in orange writing.

Touched by the message, Oceane Bazantay, 26, the aptly named French woman who found the message while walking on the La Franqui beach in the southern French Aude department, left a message on Facebook in English, French and Italian, asking people to share her message to help her find the person who wrote it.

Oceane shared with Newsflash this picture of the bottle with the message in it next to some seashells

She also posted a picture of her holding up the message, and showing it to the camera, as well as a picture of the message in the bottle on the beach.

Oceane told Newsflash: “I went for a walk on the beach, the day after the end of lockdown, on 12th May.

“I was alone on La Franqui beach. I was walking around when I came across the bottle! I was very curious so I went home to open it!

“For me, ‘Life is good, if you know how to appreciate it’, it is a message of love and peace, which is good after this difficult period.

Touched by the message, Oceane Bazantay, 26, the aptly named pretty French woman who found the message while walking on the La Franqui beach in the southern French Aude department, left a message on Facebook in English, French and Italian, asking people to share her message to help her find the person who wrote it

“And I think the message is addressed to the whole world and not just to me.

“The person who wrote it must be a person with a huge heart.

“The lockdown was quite hard in a way. I live next to the beach and not being able to go there, just watching it, was complicated.”

She added: “At the end of lockdown, the first thing I did was hit the beach. But now as soon as I go out it’s not like before, I’m less serene about going to the shops… and I don’t think I’m the only one!

“At the moment I work at a glamping site called Viglamo at la Franqui. I am 26 years old and I am originally from Cholet (in the Maine-et-Loire department).

“I would like to find the person who wrote the message, firstly so that he (sic) knows that we have found his message in France, and to thank him for the good vibes I got when I read the message.

“This message is addressed to the whole world not only to me and I intend to share it as much as possible.

“To give people hope and make them smile again!”
