Firemen Save Chihuahua Stuck In Escalator

Austrian firemen have saved a chihuahua that had its hind paw stuck in an escalator.

The poor animal reportedly got its hind paw trapped inside the comb plate of an escalator at the Vienna Central Station in Austria.

Its owner, who reportedly failed in his attempts to set his four-legged pet free, saw no other option than to call firemen for help.

Following the call, six officers from the Fire Department Vienna immediately came to the rescue at 17.30pm on Friday, 11th November.

After they switched on the emergency stop, the firemen engaged in a one-hour-long rescue mission to free the unfortunate pooch.

They finally managed to loosen the comb plate and set the terrified pet free without additionally causing more harm.

Fire Councilor Lukas Schauer said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “While some of the firefighters calmed down the little dog and its owner, other firefighters released the comb plate and thereby freed the animal from its predicament.”

The small dog received first aid on the site and was later handed over to the vet in order to get checked for possible injuries.
