Famous Streamer Claims USD 1 MIliion Blunder After Formatting Computer And Losing Bitcoin Passwords

A famous streamer has claimed to have lost USD 1 million in Bitcoin after formatting a computer and losing a vital password.

Martin Disalvo, a popular influencer in Argentina with over 3.6 million followers on Instagram alone who is also known as Coscu, recently asked one of his closest friends to format his computer due to problems with his camera.

Before his friend formatted the machine, he asked for some local files to be saved, but his friend forgot to make the backup and deleted all the files on the system.

Among the lost files were the passwords to his cryptocurrency wallets, which reportedly contain at least 10 Bitcoins.

The popular streamer also reportedly suffered a loss of around USD 800,000 (GBP 628,000) worth of character and weapon skins for the popular FPS game Counter Strike.

Some of his followers criticised him for being irresponsible, but others offered him their support over the costly mishap.

It is currently unclear if there are any steps that he can take to recover the lost digital assets.
