This is the moment a dog – named Luck – bites onto a paraglider’s backpack just as he takes off before it lets go and plunges to the ground as onlookers scream.
The startling incident occurred when the lucky stray dog, who survived the fall, bit an unnamed paraglider’s backpack, as he was taking off in the Serra de Santa Helena area in the city of Sete Lagoas in the southern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.
In the video, the paraglider can be seen jumping off the hill when Luck suddenly bites onto his backpack.
The dog is then lifted into the air along with the paraglider but does not loosen its grip on the backpack.
Onlookers can be heard screaming and shouting “oh my God” as the paraglider speeds away into the air with the dog hanging on until the poor pooch drops to the ground.
Local media report Luck survived the accident and was taken for medical treatment. The pooch suffered a broken leg in the fall and had to be operated on.
Local news outlet Globo report the veterinary clinic which carried out the operation confirmed Luck is recovering well and is waiting to be adopted.
Netizen ‘Jonathan Melo’ commented: “Haha. Superdog.”
And ‘Juan Peres’ said: “I think I saw this in an episode of Scooby Doo.”
