Dog Owner Horrified After Groomer Left Pomeranian With Huge Head And Tiny Body

A furious Pomeranian owner has posted these before-and-after snaps showing an alleged botch job by a professional dog groomer who insisted he was only follower of her husband’s specific instructions.

The pictures show the dog left with a tiny body after all of its fluffy fur was removed and a huge head that looks like it belongs to a different dog.

The poor Pomeranian named Dede also looks far from happy after being given the radical trim in the island city-state of Singapore.

The owner Henny You said that she asked the groomer, identified by the surname Ong, to make her pet look like a miniature Shiba Inu and then left the pair alone.

Ong arrived mid-morning and said that they worked for the local Precious Pets’ grooming service.

You said she was horrified when she came back to find all of the fur shaved off her pet, including the outer and inner coat.

The images were posted on the ‘Dog Lover Singapore’ Facebook group where she wrote in large letters: “ALL GONE.”

She also complained that the poor dog was now permanently cold and has to wear two layers of clothes before being allowed outside the house.

You and her husband are also angry that the groomer did not apologise and still expected to be paid the fee of SGD 100 (GBP 56).

However, the company insisted that their groomer was only following the instructions provided by the husband who had been repeatedly warned that it would not look good.

In a message to Henny they wrote: “We understand your sentiments regarding your pom. We take every customer’s comments and feedback seriously.

“However, we wish to highlight that the grooming was done pursuant to your husband’s specific instructions on confirmation – he repeatedly confirmed to our groomer the pump should be clipped using his own adjustable shaver (instead of our equipment and tools).”

They said that the husband was repeatedly warned it would not look good, but carried out his wishes when he insisted.

The couple said they were saddened to be blamed for the mess and claimed that the posts were unreasonable.

They added: “We are open to listening to your further feedback and see if there’s an amicable way to resolve this, but will not have a reputation unfairly tarnished. Please confirm that will take down all the posts online as soon as possible.”

The pet grooming service declined to comment when interviewed by local media.
