Cyclists Shocking Sunburn After Training On Balcony

This is the shocking sunburn a Spanish cyclist has suffered after training on his balcony in coronavirus lockdown and says “there is no confinement for the sun”.

Movistar Team cyclist Enric Mas, 25, posted the picture to his army of 104,000 online followers showing the result of having a training session on his home balcony.

The picture shows part of his skin turned completely red while part of his back remains in his natural skin tone. The part that is still white outlines his cycling shirt and heart-rate monitor going across his chest.

Mas captioned the snap: “There is no confinement for the sun… it burns you on your home balcony as much as it does on the road!”(sic)

Spain has remained in a nation-wide lockdown since 14th March due to COVID-19 as it is one of the most-affected countries in the world.

The lockdown has cancelled all sporting events and kept professional athletes from being able to train as they are forced to stay indoors.

Mas placed second in the Vuelta Espana in 2018 and finished in 22nd place in last year’s edition of the Tour de France.

The Spanish cyclist is currently ranked 65th in the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Individual World Ranking.

According to the latest figures from the Johns Hopkins University, there have been 172,541 cases of COVID-19 and 18,056 deaths in Spain.
